Rather threatening clouds, but perhaps not uncommon for this old mining city at an elevation of about 11,200 feet. (The ground slants so exact elevation varies by parts of the mountainside city.
This is the main departure city for visitors to travel over a low pass and down a few thousand feet to Machu Picchu.
